Meditation in the United States began in the late sixties and became popular in the seventies. It was part of the hippie movement, or at least embraced the movement. One of the icons of that time to the music of the Beatles got into meditation and some of the music of Eastern India has been incorporated into some of their songs and it has attracted attention in meditation. MP George Harrison was probably the greatest promoter of rock / pop. John Lennon was a Beatle else who was more interested in this form of contemplation. Singer, guitarist and songwriter Cat Stevens is also entered in a religion who married meditation as much of its tradition. It was Islam.

The teacher of meditation to the Beatles is the Maharishi, he moved to England in 1959. It was at the time of Children of the Beatles. After a while Marharishi returned to India to study meditation in the Guru Dev and it lasted for thirteen years. Then he traveled return to London and began teaching a form of Hindu meditation. It is he who created the transcendental meditation in which there is no struggle between material and spiritual. This form of meditation that was initially so popular in the United States in the seventies.

Transcendental Meditation does not contemplation or concentration. It is done twice a day for twenty minutes. There is a seven-step program for learning this type of meditation. This process involves an interview, conference, introducing the technique, four consecutive days of instruction that are to two hours each. Teaching begins with a brief ceremony, then the methods of learning begins and the student begins practice. Periods of training in others are used for tutoring in the proper way to practice meditation.

What is the effect of TM on the physiology? The research began in the seventies to see what these effects might be appropriate. There have been other studies since then. What was discovered is that the breathing of a person, lactate, minute ventilation and tidal volume was reduced. Then that the resistance of the skin basal and coherence functions and the integration of the brain were increased. The initial study was published in these publications: Science, American Journal of Physiology, and Scientific American.

Other studies published in medical journals Renowned have shown that TM can help relieve asthma, hypertension, heart disease, stroke, pain, depression, digestive disorders, insomnia, and smoking.

Transcendental Meditation is a method of extreme relaxation of the mind and body. The Official sites for TM say he does not like religion in faith and belief is not required to receive its benefits. But the Maharishi said it was a way to God. Some Christian leaders found TM to be in the battle with Christianity, but others think it is compatible. Some people believe that MC and its worship practices. There were also a couple of trials around the Transcendental Mediation. But one of them was devoted to a person who has psychological problems and the other was a case where fraud has been claimed and injury done to practice meditation, but it has been a settlement.
