Mexican Pop Music
Who is the king or queen of Mexican-Tejano-cumbia Music?

Who is King? or queen? The King of Pop Michael Jackson is …. The King of Rock Elvis is .. who is the King or Queen of Mexican music?

To fully answer this question, I would really like to ask you "during which years .." And when you specify the type .. are you referring to Mexican or music as Regional Mexican aka TEJANO NORTEÑO …. But in general, and in my POV …. Tejano – Canales Laura. It is that which opens the way for female artists as Elsa, Selena, Linda Escobar, Shelly, Elida and Stefani. Many believe it was Selena who opened the way for female musicians Tejano but it was actually Laura. May she rest in peace ….. Tejano – Ruben Ramos – El Gato Negro, of course. The man was Tejano when he was not even called Tejano. His style, class and personality is Tejano artist most of those who strive to be. Even in a "new world" of Tejano, it is always the class act. Norteno / Mexican – Vicente Fernandez …. I need to say more? Norteno / Mexican – I do not really have a favorite when it comes to females.

Selena Live – The Last Concert

Is it real, or is it J-Lo? Both, as it turns out. There are 55 minutes of the actual Selena here, filmed live at Houston’s Astrodome in 1995. The 23-year-old Tejano singer performs her light, catchy tunes all in Spanish, save for a ’70s disco medley (which includes, poignantly, “I Will Survive”); polished and charismatic, if not extraordinarily talented, Selena was clearly on the way up before her…
