One of the first multimedia stars, from 1934 to 1954 Bing Crosby held a nearly unrivaled command record sales, radio ratings and big movie. Widely recognized as one of the most musical performances of popular history, Crosby also credited as being the major inspiration for most singers of the era that followed, including Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and Dean Martin. Yank Magazine recognized Crosby as the person who had done the most to the morale of American GIs during the Second World War and during its peak years, around 1948, polls declared him "the most admired man alive" before Jackie Robinson and Pope Pius XII. Also on During 1948, the Music Digest estimated that Crosby recordings filled more than half of the 80,000 weekly hours allocated to recorded music radio.

The canteen, which was sponsored by a studio as a gathering place for the military, that's where Warner Bros. saw his potential and signed her up. She began her career in film co-starring in the school musicals, often paired with either Dennis Morgan and Jack Carson. She was later relegated to rugged adventures and dramas in which she was out of his element. After his role in both forgettable Gals and guys came out in 1951, she decided to quit the Hollywood scene.
